43. I know. it just makes me nuts sometimes.
Some people pay no attention to the issue until there's a front page story somewhere, quoting "facts" that are ancient.

Then with no research jump to a simple conclusion, it must be the damn GOPs fault.

The fact that a number of our own high profile party leaders, including then candidate Obama, said they would ban the modern looking rifles that are now selling like hotcakes, never occurs to them, or they just ignore it. That comes as a surprise to people that would rather find a mysterious conspiracy behind every tree and rock.

Then there are the people that don't think of a ban as "taking your guns" in any way shape or form. As in... "I'm not taking them, you just can't buy them anymore, and after a while we decided you can't keep them either". The way they did in Cook County and all of Cal with their flavor of AWB.
