Pro-choice means both of those things to me.
NOBODY CARES what (you say) things mean to you. Words have MEANINGS that are determined by the consensus of the language speakers, NOT by YOU.
since I don't believe women should have to offer a reason why they are having one, it also means they can do so for any reason whatsoever
And that is NOT the same as "believing it is OK to terminate a pregnancy for any reason whatsoever".
"Believing it is OK" is NOT the same as "believing it should be legal".
My beliefs about fetuses are well-reasoned, and I do not have vile opinions about women who terminate pregnancies.
Your beliefs about fetuses are no more well-reasoned than anyone's belief that pigs can fly, and your opinion that abortion is homicide (plus your inability to demonstrate any way that it could then be regarded as non-culpable homicide) has the necessary consequence that you believe that women who have abortions commit culpable homicide. And that, my friend, is vile.
And what I am really interested here is pointing out the people who consider themselves pro-choice but would never consider it OK to kill someone in self-defense. Looks like we got a couple, which, again, puts to bed your assertion that I was making up the existence of such people.
Looks like you can fool some of the people some of the time. Of course, I would never say you can't.
