Again, no offense to you, but I don't see the point.

You certainly don't need them to hunt with. Certainly a handgun or shotgun would be enough to protect yourself and your family in the event of a break in. The only other reasons I could think of that a civillian would want one are:

1. They're cool. (...yeah, they are pretty damn bad ass. I admit it!)

2. Some "protect ourselves from the Government" stance, which I have never understood because if the Gubbermint wanted to get you, it really wouldn't matter if you had a glock or an AK47... they'd get ya.

3. Banning ANY guns will lead to the dreaded "slippery slope", where they would ban ALL guns. Which I gotta be honest, I just don't see happening.

But again, that's just me. No offense to anyone here.
