22. No one disputes that.
Then how come everyday people are shot to death in the US?

No one disputes that every day people are shot to death in the United States.

Records show there are about 10,000 firearm homicides annually in the United States, by all types of firearms. This means that you can expect, on average, about 27 firearm homicides every day. So it's pretty trivial to come up with a "American Shooting Gallery" post on any given day like you did.

And of course the idea behind such posts is to paint a picture of rampant firearm mayhem.

But what said not said is this:

There are an estimated 250,000,000 firearms in the United States, owned by some 40,000,000 to 80,000,000 people.

This means that every year only .004% - four hundredths of a percent - of firearms are involved in murders every year. And it means that only .025% - .0125% of firearm owners are involved in murders every year - less than three tenths of a percent.

Put another way, every year 99.996% of firearms and 99.975% of firearm owners are not involved in homicides.
