1. I once engaged in a "mercy" killing of a deer.
The poor thing was hobbling around on three legs and what was left of it's third leg. One back leg was missing the foot and a lot of its flesh exposing the lower leg bone. I surmised that the animal had been stuck on a fence and injured itself.

You know, I've read that there are now alive today more white tail deer than have ever lived before. Cannot source it but I've come across that several time.
