2005 Warmest September on Record

September was the warmest on record, the anomalies with a base period 1951-1980 being #1 2005 (0.60C), #2 2003(0.54C), #3 2004 (0.47C). The mean temperature anomalies for the first nine months of the year are #1 1998 (0.60C), #2 2005 (0.580C) and #3 2002 (0.579C).
