soup after their names who firmly believe that in one cubic foot of "space" there is enough energy to run NYC for 30 years or so.

What the zero point energy folks are tapping into is exactly that energy TODAY though in small doses. You could in a way consider it a form of cold fusion. If you are interested in this sort of technology the DVD's available at Tom Bearden's site are from what I have seen truly awesome. I found it funny that a week ago or so Amazon listed his book at 129$ for new and used. It lists for 59 NEW at his site. I plan to order the DVD's asap cuz a relative of mine with a pretty impressive engineering background is interested to the max.

At least look at the trailer, it doesn't give away much but it is uplifting to know that there are some pioneers out there who didn't lie down and say, "That's impossible".
