Generally, I would be skittish of posting an email, but since it is Chomsky, after all...for the purposes of posterity, here it is, first my email to him, quoted, and then his email to me:

Glad you liked the interview. And I like your term -- though I don't think
it's a conspiracy, except in the terms that Adam Smith used when he warned
of the conspiracies of business men and governments against the public (so
I'm far from taking credit for the idea).

I think you are right about the internet, and also agree that the medical
catastrophe ahead may have quite an effect on people's minds.

I like what Kucinich stands for a lot, and if we had as much of a
democratic culture as, say, Brazil, where elections are more than just a
game among rich investors, then I'd be supporting him for President. But
we're far from that, and have a lot of work to do to get to that stage.

Cryonics? Honest truth is I'd rather not witness the world we're probably
leaving to our descendants.
