7. Lieberman
Yes, Joe Lieberman is a more moderate Democrat. However, look at his voting record. Iraq war aside, it's fairly liberal. He's running to the middle, trying to make himself look electible. It's the same thing that Bill Clinton did in 1992 (though Clinton did it with more success). Politicians have always run toward the middle while actually swinging to their party's ideological ideas once elected. Joe Lieberman, if elected, I am sure will be a force for liberals and will start to nominate mainstream judges (much to the dismay of Orrin Hatch and Jeff Sessions). I am for Kerry or Graham, but I think that if elected, Joe Lieberman will be a billion times better president than Bush.
