that most of the calls they've been getting have been like mine (supporting fillibuster)!

I've been trying to make these points about a fillibuster (when the Senator's offices have time to take comments):
1. The Republicans don't want to lose the fillibuster either. They may not really be willing to make good on their threat.
2. When the Republicans made the threat of the "nuclear option" they were in a much stronger position than they are now. This may dissuade them from following through on the threat.
3. Risking the fillibuster is worth it, because Alito on the Supreme Court is such a threat.
4. A "no" vote may be the equivalent to a "yes" vote for Alito - without a fillibuster, it may just not count.
