You matter to me.

Some of you I know well, some not so well. Some of you I’ve known for 10 years, some I’ve met more recently. Some of you I’ve met in “real life,” some I only know here. Some of you I love, some of you bug the crap out of me. But you’re all important to me. This community is real. These relationships are real. I care about what happens to you. Your stories mean something to me. I care about you.

I just want to tell you that because that’s the kind of thing I want to remember to say to my friends and family from time to time. I don’t want to take anyone for granted, not my husband, not my son, not my crazy in-laws. Not my co-workers, not my neighbors, not my old school friends, and not you.

We’ve been through a lot together. Some of you are going through a lot right now. And every once in a while, we lose someone great. It’s meaningful. We’re real. We matter to one another.
