it does appear on "Works Volume 2" by Emerson, Lake and Palmer, so in my opinion that does qualify it to be considered an "Emerson, Lake and Palmer song" on the basis of the fact that it does appear on an album they released as a group. And if Wikipedia can be believed (which is forever in doubt) Lake has actually recorded the song 4 times, 2 of them with ELP and 2 as a solo recording. Thank you for mentioning the distinction.
