Since they were able to lift it(not overly surprising, on my HS football team, we did the same on several occasions) why did they not just move it off, and set it down somewhere else, rather than holding it up until EMS arrived?

Its nice when something is able to be done about the tradgedies that happen. I hope the young man is ok. And that this inspires other youth not to sit on the hood of a moving car.
