*My vet ALWAYS says this when we call him after office hours. It started when River swallowed a penny. We called him at midnight to ask what to do. He got quiet for a good 30 seconds or more, then said, "River... swallowed a penny." He took a deep breath and said, "This, too, shall pass." From then on**, that's what he would always say.

**Except when Sunday Girl threw some sweet shrub down to River and he ate it. Dog was hallucinating. Had to have his stomach pumped.
