| What is the "worse" thing you would do for financial security and independence? |
|
While most can grandstand about principles and morals, they do so knowing that they never will have the opportunity to have that independence and security; the hypothetical is so unlikely it is beyond conceivable. But imagine, if you will, and man was standing in front of you with a suitcase of cold, hard cash (millions upon millions). Imagine that money is not merely a promise, but tangible and within your reach.
What lengths would you be willing to go to obtain it? If the man asked you to kill, would you? How much? Who? If he asked you to sell cigarettes to every child you see for the rest of your life, would you? How much would the chance of getting caught deter your pursuit of independence and security? How many people would you be willing to hurt, and to what degree, for that opportunity?
A life of never starving, or worrying about starving. A life of secure housing over your head and clothes on your body. No more hardships. Your family completely taken care of...
What is that worth? Would you sleep with Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter at the same time, once a week for a year? Would you rig votes to allow Jeb Bush to win the Ohio presidential election.
I believe most everyone has a price....if that price was $10 million dollars, what deed could it buy off you?
