6. This northern harrier was perched just outside our deck last fall


We also have a big barred owl in the area, but I haven't been able to get a photo of him.
This is an internet photo of what he looks like.



I was out walking the dog early, about 10 days ago, and he flew out of the woods and landed on a tree by the side of the road. We walked right under him and he just sat there and eyeballed us. I didn't have my cell with me or I'd have been able to get his picture!
