I'm tutoring this Greek kid

He was born in Germany so that is his second language. I got a call from his mother about three weeks ago asking me to tutor him in English. He flunked last year in English. He's 16 and he's been learning English for two years now. He can hardly speak a sentence.

I gave them an initial free consultation just to get a take on what his problems are(everything) and then went for our first session and all was well.

Then he got sick. They called me 45 minutes before our next appointment and canceled. This happened twice. Then I went to his house last week and we had another session and they told me to come back today for another lesson.

So it's snowing here and I bundled up and hauled my 20 pound attache case with all my English books and resource papers in it and took the subway to his house and when I got there the mom answered the door and said "Oh nobody called you? George is at the doctor's office. He's sick. I'm so sorry nobody called you."

I'm only charging this kid 17 an hour even though all other native speakers are charging 20 an hour for their time.

My question is this: should I insist that this kid come to my house and save myself a big hassle? He lives one stop away on the subway and he has a monthly train ticket (I don't)
