i sure hope he let the pasta rest for a bit first to absorb the flavors

<snip>

A chef at an Arden Heights restaurant who allegedly threw a steaming plate of pasta and sauce at a teen-age waiter, burning his face and arm, now faces felony assault charges.

Augusto Cafiero, 49, of Belfield Avenue in Annadale, not only lost his job at Villa Monte Restaurant, but he could face up to seven years in prison for the Saturday night incident.

"The person is no longer with the company," said a restaurant manager, who requested anonymity.

Cafiero worked at 240 Arden Ave., one of three Villa Monte Restaurants on Staten Island. The 9 p.m. pasta-flinging incident began with an argument between the chef and a 19-year-old waiter, a police spokesman said.
