Mustang turn signals

When I was small, I thought the turn signals on Mustangs were the coolest. Apparently they are called sequential turn signals. The best I can do in plain English is that if the car is turning right, of the three right turn signal lights, the left one lights up first, then the middle one, then the right one. So the car points at the direction it's turning, rather like the temporary Lane Closed, Merge (this direction) signs. I'm not sure if it was a feature of the original Mustang or of the larger ones that came out around 1970. Regardless, they've brought the feature back. Ah, nostalgia.
