6. Alice Miller has a chapter about Christiane F. in one of her books
The Swiss writer and psychotherapist Alice Miller, in her now online book For Your Own Good, has a chapter about Christiane F. (along with a chapter about Hitler and a chapter about a child molester and murderer).

Each case she presents as an example of how severe abuse and mistreatment in childhood has led the person to be either self-destructive or destructive toward others.

The phrase "For Your Own Good" was one my father very often used. I had a very difficult father, who did some very good things but who also at times bordered on being emotionally and psychologically abusive, most especially so when he decided in Godlike fashion that I needed to be talked to or treated in a certain way "for my own good", sometimes when I made an honest mistake, honestly forgot something, or something was not according to his standards. I saw Alice Miller's book For Your Own Good in a bookstore and bought it in the late 1980's, a couple of years after my dad had died; I found her perspective to be very eye-opening, enlightening, and ultimately helpful to me.
