| Battlestar Galactica fans--what the frak did you think of series finale? |
|
CONS: Cheesy original series Cylon centurions mixed in with the new models. Cavil kills himself after resurrection is lost--that was a pretty easily capitulation after so much effort. Too much chasing through the halls of the ship. Boomer's switching back and forth seemed a little too unmotivated. Was she programmed that way, indecisive, or some combination thereof?
PROS: The space combat (unlike interior combat) was exceptional. Excellent resolution, both apocalyptic and hopeful, and like the rest of the series, morally ambiguous. Did we really turn out any better because they threw away their tech?
BEYOND EXCELLENT: the epilogue in modern day earth.
OPEN QUESTIONS: who were the ''angels,'' Starbuck, Baltar, and Caprica?
I like the twist that Baltar's visions of the Cylon weren't Cylon implants but a third outside force.
