I saw some EPIC parenting last night.....

Went to a local BBQ place for dinner, and there was a mom with 2 kids a few booths away. The younger child was a boy of about 7 or so, and he was generally being a brat- whining, crying, throwing stuff, etc. It was pretty loud in there, so it wasn't terribly annoying to me and I was basically oblivious to them after a short time. All of a sudden, over all of the din of the restaurant comes a clear and piercing, "SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!" Yes, from the child in question, directed to his mom.

The entire restaurant went into a hush, not knowing what to expect. (Had I said that to *my* Mom, I surely would have known what to expect :scared: ) His Mom didn't seem to care very much. "Don't say that," was the extent of the admonishment. From there, the kid went into a full-on temper tantrum, and everybody went back to their meals.

Wow. Just wow.
