12. On a related note, I just added a new Facebook friend last night.

Some girl I barely even knew in high school. We were basically just in homeroom together (and that was 17 years ago), but she added me anyway. I figured "sure, what the hell", so I added her. Then I look at her profile page and saw things like "1/20/13: The End Of An Error" and her membership in the Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, and "Hillary Clinton must never become President" fan groups. My first thought was "Wow, the 22-percenters really do exist". I was going to post a message on her wall about how the election was a repudiation of 8 years of Republican failure, but it hardly seemed worth the effort. I think I'll just delete her.

Ironically, she's also a member of a Stephen Colbert fan group. I wonder if she's in on the joke.
