6. You have to put a whole lot of sugar on it..
Cake sugar all over the top, then push it into the grapefruit with the back of your spoon. Once it's all soaked in, repeat the process. You have to do this about 5 or 6 times before there is enough sugar to make the grapefruit edible. Or, as you say, just go back to oranges. I take medication for high cholesterol, and the label says don't eat grapefruit while taking this medicine. So I have an excuse to avoid it.
