to eat at the Olive Garden. Seriously.

So my sister-in-law says she woke up this morning with a craving for the Olive Garden and my brother told her he'd take her. Then they remembered that it was my mom's birthday, so they invited my mom and myself to come along. We thought they were nuts. (Why would you drive two hours to Provo and two hours back just for the Olive Garden? Even if it's true that there is no decent place to eat out around here.) We went with them anyway. So we get there, and there's just been a big BYU game and the place is so packed that if we hadn't just driven two hours to get there we would have turned around and gone somewhere else.

If you take the gas into consideration, that was one very expensive meal. And, honestly, it wasn't that great. Oh, well. We had fun talking and laughing.

I wish I hadn't just learned that the Olive Garden is a big GOP contributor. That takes a little of the fun out of it.
