55. Its a bias agaisnt non-mountainous and states with no coasts.
To tell you the truth outside of Ohio, I haven't spent much time in the Midwest. But I always like going to new places.
Recently I went to Minnesota for the first time. Yeah the landscape was a little flat and boring at times compared to the rolling hills of the Piedmonts here in Maryland, but that doesn't mean there isn't interesting stuff. I wish I could have had time to visit a wildlife refuge I drove past from Minneapolis to Rochester. I love birding and given the totally different climate, I bet I would have seen a lot of birds I have never seen before.
Also, I found the people very friendly and polite..A refreshing change from the rushed rudeness so common in the Northeast.
Of course, I love to travel and see new places....Even in places that have people I'm not exactly thrilled to interact with (rural GA for example) there are other things (like the lush woodlands) and beautiful coasts that make it worthy to visit.
