I think it was caffeine withdrawal. I realized this evening that I hadn't had any caffeine since Friday. Not a planned thing. I usually have iced tea or coke at lunch, just for the purpose of fending off this kind of thing. Well, Friday I had lunch with two parishioners at a Mexican restaurant, accompanied with a lime Jarrito. Saturday, I spent part of the day with my ex (yeah, we've learned we can be friends, if not spouses) at a local festival. I had a nutritious lunch of a funnel cake, popcorn and beer. Sunday, i ate at the free community lunch at the Episcopal Church two doors from my church, with lemonade.

By late morning today, I had a headache that would knock down an elephant. By lunch time I was so nauseous I couldn't eat. And my mid-afternoon, I was puking in spite of having nothing in my stomach. I found myself thinking, "Well, it feels like a caffeine headache, but I haven't had one in years." Then I realized...and yes, made myself a cup of tea. It took all evening, and finally getting some food in my tummy, but I'm finally feeling better.

I'm powerless over caffeine, and I don't give a damn. Make me some tea!!
