My GSD developed a hematoma of the ear. Her right ear was filled with blood and flopped over like a hound's. We put her in yesterday for surgical opening, cleaning and draining. She's home now with an Elizabethan collar and an ear all sewn up like a mattress. It's still flopped over. I hope it straightens out; she had such large, straight ears.
Do older doggy ears ever recover from this, or is she permanently asymmetrical? Pre-op:  |
