I mean you are just not correct on this.
A sweeping generalization with zero proof is not convincing.
All kinds of dogs come from horrible puppy mills. Not just designer dogs. I suggest never buying a puppy from a pet store and know your breeder or go to a rescue or pound and adopt but suggesting that designer dogs mostly come from mills is not fair. A lot of them come from small, home breeders who do it as a hobby and take excellent care of their dogs. These dogs are no different than pure bred dogs with the exception of a pedigree.
Some of the worst kennels I have seen are owned by people who profess to be concerned animal rights people- their dogs are living in shit and piss and are matted and filthy and riddled by terrible physical disorders. I know this is not going to be popular but after many years working with dogs, it's the crazy animal people that made me get out of the animal business. The filthy conditions they, themselves live in is a clue.
Just like anything, breeders are all over the map. Some are great. Some should be locked up for what I have seen. But people who cross breed dogs are not more terrible than the ass who keeps their pure bred dogs in tiny cages in a back room or a garage 23 hours a day.
