An Analysis Of Cat Puke (And The Puking Cat)

ok.

over the last 5 years or so, i have made and documented some observations on "The Puking Cat."

quite an interesting study really. the odd behavior of the puking cat is a mystery even to this day.

but, some observations:

1) if the cat has finished gorging itself within a 10-20 minute window, chances are the cat will puke in the middle of the expensive area rug adorning the living room. NOT the wood flooring surrounding the rug mind you as it is obvious that puking cats prefer their puke land softly and gingerly.

2) if the cat more recently has completed its gluttony, and has not yet made it to said expensive area rug, it's natural instinct takes over and it is likely the puke will end up in the very CORNER of the room making it extremely difficult to clean up. this is obviously the natural progression of the cat puke that it should end up wedged between floorboard and corner molding requiring wet sponges and minor flooding to rid the area of this mysterious substance.

3) if the cat happens to be perched upon high at the time of puke-dome, it is only natural that projectile vomiting is the preferred choice. puke MUST (and i stress MUST) be flung as far as felineily possible for maximum coverage. again, this is a trait that must have been ingrained in the wild for territorial purposes.
