| 17. Cute little gifts are always appropriate |

as spontaneous "thinking of you" presents. They may or may not be appropriate for more traditional gift-giving occasions like birthdays, etc., depending on the person.
It's always touching to get a present "just because" even if it's a kid's toy like that. My husband put a toy Subaru Impreza WRX in the box with my actual birthday present last September, and I was so delighted that he did that (it shows that he WAS listening at least some of the time when I was obsessing about how I wished I could have a WRX) that my actual present got ignored for a few minutes while I played with my toy car!  |
