Rita Tushingham--These are the actors that I recognize as being of British Isles origin in the IMDB listing.

and although Omar Sharif is Egyptian, he probably grew up in Egypt when British influence was strong, and Geraldine Chaplin (daughter of Charlie Chaplin, who was English) was born in California but grew up in Europe.

So I guess most of the cast came by their British accents honestly.
