29. When we visited Portland for the first time, the apartment where we stayed was
just a short walk to the super gigantic Powell's bookstore there. New books, old books, magazines, gifts, toys... and no sales tax. Needless to say we spent at least two hours in there every night of our trip (they are open until 11 or 12) and we spent lots of money. Luckily, we visited in November so we got tons of Christmas presents there. It was a bookstore junkie's dream come true.

Excellent choices, by the way. I want or already have every single one of those books!
