Many of their songs were pop songs that they "psychedelicized", making them longer, slower, and "heavier." Some of them work better than others; my favorites are their versions of "You Keep Me Hangin' on", "Some Velvet Morning", and "If You Gotta Make a Fool of Somebody."

The video link here is cool, and straight out of the late-sixties. I was trying to find the full version (it's around 7-minutes long; it was cut to less than three for the single), but this is the longest one with decent sound quality that I could find.
