9. In my early teens I was "sword fighting" with a stick and my
opponent got in a lucky shot which sent a splinter deeply into my bicep. I pulled out what I could grasp, but some of that splinter remained and has been there for over 50 years. I can still feel it if I press the spot with my fingers, but since it causes no pain, it has remained there and shall remain there until I die.
