It's not enough to ask if your size is too big for "women."
Obviously, this was asked for more complex reasons than the overly simplistic question that started this thread.
Is a size 10 too big if you want to attract an evil, misogynist Nazi-man asshole?? Well, probably yes.
Is a size 10 too big if you want to be sure you're not so overweight that you're at a high risk of dying before you see your grandchildren born? Well, it depends on your health. This is the real question that nobody on this board seems willing to face.
If we're talking about the Vogue magazine-style, eating disorder kind of weight-as-sexiness issue then no, size 10 is not a problem.
If we're talking about taking good care of yourself to make sure that you live a long life then it's not a question for a message board. It's a question to ask your doctor.
As a DU man, if my woman gets so seriously overweight that I'm concerned about whether or not she'll live to an old age (she hasn't gotten to that point, by the way) then it definitely IS too big. If you're going to get obsessed with the weight-as-sexuality thing then you need to get into therapy. If you want to know about whether or not your weight is truly HEALTHY then ask your doctor.
I'm sorry if that comes off as cold, but dammit, that's how I feel.
My woman looks sexy to me even if she doesn't look "Vogue"-style perfect. I love her, and nothing will change that. But if I think her weight is going to affect her HEALTH, that is a serious issue and I will say so.
Sorry if this offends people here, but that is how I see it. If you're obsessed with weight-as-sexuality, you're barking up the wrong tree. If your weight is going to hurt your health, that is a very, very serious problem.
Flame away. Kick my ass for being a man, but I'm not going to be quiet about the issue of women who get so big that they won't live to know their grandchildren. I will simply not accept excessive weight as an excuse to die. Your grandchildren deserve better than that.
