Reply #79: People I love are all over the political spectrum

Granted I'm farther left than any of em, except maybe my cousin. I can't stop loving my friends and family because of who they vote for, or for having differing opinions. That's just taking it way too far.
I'll talk to them about issues, and we generally will find common ground. And if not, we find a subject we agree on, and expand upon that.
My dad is conservative. When I talk to him, I don't think about his support for Bush. I think about the times as a little girl that I would step on his toes and 'dance' with him to old country and blues songs. I think about the huge waffle and pancake breakfasts he would make for us kids.
That's just one example of many. I value a helluva lot more in people than just their politics. And it will take much, much more, than a vote for someone I disagree with, to make me dislike or hate anyone. It's just not in me to give up friends and family over something like that.
