When I was growing up, all the storekeepers and clerks would throw hard, sharp, and pointy things at you as soon as you entered the store. Then they'd strap a remote-controlled taser to your butt, so they could zap you if you even LOOKED like you were planning something illegal. Then they'd zap you ANYWAY, just for the hell of it. Then when you were leaving, they'd strip-search you. And they'd take pictures. And then, what's worse, they'd LAUGH at the pictures.

And we liked it that way!
