Life is sucking big-time right now, especially financially.

Some of you know that my work load has gone way down, and I am currently making about 1/4 of what I was previously making. My lowered income has caused some big financial problems for me. The other day, I got a call from one of my creditors, offering me a "settlement" of $4500, which I do not have. They said, "Well, can you pay $1500 right now?" No, I can't. My check for the whole of last month was LESS THAN $1500. Today, I got court papers from said creditor, coming after me for the money. Um, what part of "I don't have that kind of money" do these people not understand?

Can't get a loan. Don't have people to borrow from (most folks I know are also hurtin'.)

To be clear, this is not a plea for help; just venting a bit while I try to figure out what the hell to do. x(
