I despise it; and when the oil is gone, it'll be pretty much a ghost town.

I have even more concerns about development in northern Alberta; Ft McMurray, and I even have to wonder about Grande Prairie, where the vacancy rate is almost 0. And if the tar sands expand...so much of that pristine boreal forest may be no more. :(

I agree about St Albert, and many of the new subdivisions in Edmonton. I live in an older area, thank goodness, where there is still some character left.

Edmonton's never been a 'pretty' city. One look at the skyline sets the tone for the rest of the place...
