43. I missed a lot in my late teens
My senior year of high school was 1985, and I was primarily into heavy metal type stuff from around 1980 through the late 80s. I started getting into 'alternative' music my freshman year of college 85-86, but did not get a chance to get to many concerts until after I got out of college - so I missed a lot of those groups. I went to college a little over an hour from Boston, too, so I'm sure many of those bands went through Boston during that era as well...

I had a chance to go see Nirvana on their last tour - I think they were in Springfield, Mass. I was a bit under the weather, so decided to pass. Next thing you know, Kurt Cobain was dead. ;(
