as indicated by a couple of other posters. What you described sounds like the ones my Dad has. He recieved 2 Bronze Star awards for his service in Vietnam. Don't know what he did and he won't tell me, but from some of his service buddies, I hear it was something pretty dramatic - sort of required for this level of award, apparently.
Honors to your Dad's service - I know this is something to be proud of and respect. :patriot:
