I'm sorry this happened to you. I started posting on DU shortly after the 2006 elections. After posting some relatively inflammatory "touchdown dance" posts (like this one), I saw that the freepers had started a thread on me. After a few posts, someone managed to look up my personal info and posted my name, address and (old) phone # on the site. Of course, that was followed up by a number of keyboard cowboys hinting that they would like to pay me a visit.

The thread was quickly taken down, but it may still survive in the Google cache. Needless to say, none of the cowards ever did show up at my place. If they had, they would have received a quick refresher course on the Second Amendment.

The simple fact is that some people are just better than others, and the bottom of the barrel hangs out on the freeper sites. You shouldn't let these subhumans get you down, anymore than you should be depressed if some stupid animal takes a crap in your yard.
