I love jewelry; not so much because it's made of precious gems and metals but because good jewelry is more like small works of sculpture. I wear a beautiful ring I was given for my 30th birthday nearly every day; not only is it gorgeous with a very unusual stone, it was given to me by my Loved One and it has tremendous value beyond its material worth to me.
