in my state every 10 years you have bought the stone or piece of art again if you insure it, so the reality is that art and jewelry is not insured -- homeowner's only covers $200 worth, you wouldn't even bother to file and get it on your homeowner's report

i'm at the bank every week swapping out pieces and i'm probably on some list of "suspicious persons who go to the safety deposit box a lot" but it's worth it

beautiful things should be worn but if you are not wearing them, protect them, you probably have to go to the bank or a nearby business (grocery store?) every week anyway
