Seems to me some of this crap was pretty evident to people who were paying attention....way back when.

(Can't speak for the 60s personally, I was born in '69, but if you just read a LITTLE bit of history, a little bit of literature, it's clear there were always people who could see our current nightmare coming.)

What blows my mind is the fact that this dependence on oil has really only risen up to dominate the world in the past 100 or so years. That's SUCH a tiny blip in existence. And yet people act as if it's always been this way and there are no other possibilities.
