2. That is such a sad story.
I have relatives who are missionaries (they are one reason I do not attend a church) and they served in a small country overseas. They bought, owned and operated the only clinic and place of residence for disabled children. They first converted them and then when they were well enough to go home they were told to convert their parents. I was appauled but that is how many of them work. It is so sad to see it. BTW, are you better? I hope so.
