In the same way that the distributors of "Mask" were (rightly) accused of concealing Rocky Dennis' facial abnormality in the trailer to appeal to the "side-show mystery" morbid curiosity side of people.
I think the distributor of WTC is doing the same thing, enticing people to see it in hopes of seeing the attacks rendered in glorious, high-def visual FX splendour. Hopefully Stone will prove to be somewhat tasteful in the visual sense of the planes impacting the towers.
