- Less than an hour drive to the Rockies

- Really, really cool neighbourhoods (Inglewood, Kensington, Marda Loop, Mission, Connaught)

- Golf courses galore (more golf courses per capita than any other city in North America)

- The city is very bike friendly, there are bike paths that wind their way from one side of the city to the other

- Fish Creek Provincial Park
