4. This all started when I used the name "Hitoshi Igarashi" in a thread
without including even a short biography of Hitoshi Igarashi.

I received the following rebuke:

I'm not sure what your point is. And since you could have easily stated it rather than play coy games with us dumb boobs, I'm not sure that I give a rat's rectum.

I take that to mean that I violated a rule of etiquette. So I'm just wondering how one applies the rules of etiquette.

Given a name, how does one decide whether:

(1) supplying information about the person insultingly suggests that people don't know or don't care enough to find out; or

(2) failing to supply information about the person is an act of game playing.
